Someone broke into our 03 Disco (at a wedding of all places) and stole the radio. Ugh. Anyhow, I'm looking on ebay for the stock tape deck /radio that came with the car... Will a 99-04 radio fit? Or can I only use an 03/04?

Just saw one of those NAV systems on ebay (the OEM ones)... anyone know if those are plug & play with the CD player...

 

well on the first ? i have an 02 and have looked at 04s and it looks identical

and on the second ? the cd mags are pretty universal i mean my mag was missing and i took one from a ford explore lol and it works fine HOWEVER i think nav changers are diff so check it out

 

i have a stock radio out of our 99 disco I and cd changer. i don't have a magazine cartridge for it though.

after reading my radio manual and well long story short you need a 4 diget code for the replacment radio with out it you will like never get it to work for every time you enter the code wrong the time out will double (first time 1min then 2,4,816 so on and so forth) so GET THAT CODE

 

I've got a HK unit out of an 03 HSE7 if that might be of use.

thanks for the help guys... i ended up going to best buy and just spending $100 on a basic radio / cd player... Its working OK, and is a fine solution for now.
