For best results - don't drive it over 60 MPH.
You'll save the driveshaft if it si not in great condition to begin with and get good MPG.

After head gaskets, a radiator and thermostat and fan clutch.
I just drive mine.

If I can sell it for a good price to replace it with a Saab or VW Diesel - I may.
Yet - there is NOTHING like a rover. Poise and classy.
I have had rovers for 17 years now.

 

Yes, it is tantamount to a first year medical student learning about the frailties of the human body and then believing he/she has a variety of ailments......Having said that, JD Power still holds Land Rover in last spot for dependability, but having just returned from the UK where I saw a Disco doing everything that a F-150 does here, and speaking with many of their owners, I found that preventative maintenance is the key. DiscoMike has a great list and the others contributors are simply outstanding (you know who you are) and will send pictures and instructions for every repair you will ever need. No need to take the Rave with you on safari either-- just your cell-phone provided there is the bandwidth to gain access to this site! Rover On!

 

Put the RAVE on your phone. If you go to have fun, you will be out of cell coverage area hopefully, at least some

 

Note that you only need the RAVE parts for your truck, which reduces the space requirements. Also may want to carry on a USB drive so you can access at computers (work on break, work during boring dayz, other repair shops, etc).
