Default Alternative to bora

Is there any cheaper alternative to bora spacers? I obviously will not buy cheap Chinese 30$ ones off amazon I was wondering if there are any other reputable ones available thay aren’t almost 300$. Would a Chevy with the same bolt pattern spacers work? I believe it’s 5x4.75

No, Chevy spacers will not work. They must be hub-centric. Terrafirma makes them, but they are most likely Chinese - I wouldn't use them. There's another reputable company I've heard of making them as well. Spidertrax? I can't recall off hand. They will be expensive as well, however.

Essentially, not really.

@redwhitekat generally they are. The problem is people go really big on spacers and add very large heavy tires, well beyond what the rest of the system was designed for. Eventually something breaks, usually bearings.

It is a solution if you use some common sense.

If you what some basics Wheel spacers

I’m on a 2” lift with 32” and generally do no wheeling so I don’t need the best of the best

I know here in Canada Ontario they are cracking down on tires that stick out past the fenders

Mine are just tucked, wanting a more aggressive stance without being too wide. Where I live they don’t care. These tires are brand new and I only put under 5k miles a year on it so swapping for smaller wheels with a different offset isn’t an option right now

Tire weight and size has nearly nothing to do with stress in the spacers. The maximum I would comfortably go on a wheel spacers is 1.25", I may stretch to 1.5" in a strictly road use situation. I have 1.25" BORA spacers on my Silverado.

Buy the best or don't buy any. This is one of the most vital parts of your vehicle. If a wheel comes off going down the road you could easily enter a rollover situation, or careen into oncoming traffic. 9 times out of 10 if a spacer breaks it will be one on the front of the vehicle because that's where they are under the most stress.

Please, if you buy spacers just bite the bullet and get the best. I'm a big proponent of pinching every penny, but not where it may cause a serious safety issue.
