If you run a winch you do want to spec a more powerful alternator and just get a bracket made, just make sure the total length will fit. Has anyone managed to fit a 2nd alternator in the ACE pump location or a 2nd hydraulic pump? Would love to go to all hydro for winch, steering, braking but having a 2nd alternator would add some much needed redundancy as well.

So AutoZone is a bunch of idiots. I went to a shop that does free testing and my battery and alt came back good.
The guy at the shop said that it is probaly all of the short trips that we make. Start it up, drive for 10 min and then shut it off. Repeat.
And with it getting dark at 5 o'clock now we have the lights on which doesnt help.
