Default *help needed* alternator buzzing loudly with no key in ignition, but tested perfect

Hello everybody! Got a question about my 99 disco 2. It's been giving me trouble starting, took a few tries before the engine would fully turn over. Replaced the starter and was still having the issues so I took my alternator to get tested and everything checked out. I kept driving it a couple days sometimes it would start no problem sometimes it would take a couple tries. Then a couple days ago I was at work and tried to start it, turned over a lil but wouldn't start I turned my key back to off and noticed a loud buzzing under the hood. I turned my key again and engine wouldnt even crank at all. Opened the hood and the sound is most definitely coming from the alternator. I put my hand on it and could feel it humming. All my lights and dashboard lights still work but the engine won't crank. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Ended up towing her home, took the alternator off again to get it tested and it still tests good. Battery and starter are good too.
I'm assuming there's a short somewhere but I don't know where to start to find it. If anybody has any ideas or help that would be awesome thanks guys and gals!
