Default Alternator question

does anybody know the size for a tap and die to re thread the shaft and nut to hold the pulley on a factory Bosch 130 amp alternator? Stripped mine...yea I know, I think I came up with some new curse words.

Goog says its a 22mm nut for land rover discovery. Might be tough to die that one since it spins. Good luck

Yea I knew it was a 22mm nut. The darn threads are stripped on the nut and the shaft. Didn't know if there was a chance I can tap the bolt and put a die to the shaft and maybe save it and use it for a spare.

I guess if you could hold the shaft from spinning you can die a tread size smaller and use plenty locktite red. If its tight enough, drill a hole through the pulley through the shaft and use a lock pin. Just a lot of effort there if you want to save it.
