Default Alternator removal/bolts

trying to replace the alternator on my 2001 D2, but the two 13mm bolts are not cooperating.

It took a socket wrench, pipe and lots of persuasion to get the outside/top bolt free..but it did come out. But the inside/bottom bolt will have none of it, and just won't move (even after applying enough leverage that the socket head cracked)

Any trick/advise to getting this last bolt out is greatly welcomed.
In advance, thanks

Thumbs down

thanks for the recommendation on the beer...prescribed to that solution when I was frustrated and logged on the computer to post this thread.

Belt is off...and yes I am cranking counter-clockwise....although I did give it 1 or 2 cranks to the right to see if I could unfreeze the bolt that way.

I did get the top bolt out (easier access and more room to crank on it) but it was tough...had to get alot of leverage on it.

Any other recommendations?

Heat - like a propane torch. Be careful of flammable bits.

I always use WD-40 to quench. The heat burns oxidation and the WD helps lube.
