Another CL Disco ad for the books...
The things people say about Discovery's... I guess we all own "Collector Vehicles"
Tempting though, pick it up for a good price and do the head gasket job myself... God knows I don't need another.

I remember 40 years ago my dad and all of his hunting buds had fj40 land cruisers and they seemed to be pretty common then and now vintage 70's models fully restored are fetching premium prices. so who knows!
Now, if only I could find the fountain of youth!
I went to see a local Discovery II in my area - oh almost two years ago.
I show up and this other guy shows up.
I yield the sale to him.
My reason?
Hood latch would not open.
Hood does not open - then no one takes care of the engine.
And I kept in contact with that guy who bought this rover.
He ended up finding that a PISTON had actually MELTED.
He was able to replace the piston and get the rover running.
But it kept overheating on him.
And his next step was to replace the radiator.
He wanted my old radiator that I put in the garbage can.
And I had thrown out my radiator before that time.
