Default Rear window woes.

I'm thinking the previous owner of my newly purchased '03 disco had dogs. In the back. Resulting in the heater element thingy getting ripped off the window. Anyone know how I can get it stuck back on?

Proud owner of not 1, not 2 but 3 LR Discoveries.

I'm guessing you could solder it back on.

Or replace the window. I have one I could sell for cheap, but the shipping(depending on where you are) could make a cheap part expensive!

Sorry, did you mean the whole element or the electrical connection points?

It's the part that sticks to the window. I'm sorry, I'm not an expert on the technical terms. But the whole thing is just dangling. I've been reading and I guess it's either solder it on, or carquest sells some form of glue mixture which conducts electricity. So I could glue it on.

I am not replacing the whole window but thanks for the offer lol.

You are welcome, but FYI, replacing the back window is supper simple. It should take anywhere from 30 min to an hour.

The conductive glue seems like the easiest method as soldering can be difficult.

Good luck and congrats on your 3 land rovers! I'm addicted as well, I have 5 keepers right now...

I hardly use the defogger/heater so I'm not too concerned.

My husband told me I had to get rid of one of the discos. Fat chance honey lol.

you used to be able to buy a DYI kit to glue the power cables back onto the wire grid

You still can. I think carquest sells it amongst other car auto part stores. I hopped onto amazon and you can get it there. unfortunately one guy claimed that after using one brand, his window exploded. So I asked my dad to solder it on lol.
