Default Another "just clicks" question.

I have read through many like posts and have not found a solution.
My 04 Disco is very dependable with few issues. I jumped in and hit the key and am just getting a click from what sounds like the passenger under dash. Not the starter. All the normal lights on the dash come on when I turn the key but just a click.
The ground on the battery is slightly loose although the clamp is as tight as it can go. The headlights come right on bright and show no dimming when I turn the key. From my old school mechanics that means the starter is not receiving any power and the battery is good. I have had the issue in the past when I just reset the alarm by cycling it with my key fob.

Ideas?

You can youtube the way to check the starter without removing it by giving it the power directly. Mines starter died all of a sudden also, i drove it to a grocery store, bought stuff, came back out and it didnt work.
by the way; do not take your starter to Autozone to let them test it
The machine they use sucks. My friend took a starter to them and they checked it 3 times and said everything is good with it. We tried everything else to make his car running and failed, at the end we decided to buy another starter even if it was a 'waste', but boom the car was working like a charm.

I don't think the starter is the issue I was more wondering if I could just engage it by crossing connections on the solenoid. I don't think that will help as there doesn't appear to be any power going to the starter.
I tried it again and the clicking noise seems to be coming from under the passenger seat?

I also tried jumping it with another vehicle but it did the same thing.
