Default SRS & Anti Lock Light on.. Won't start just clicks

Hi I'm new to the forum and just got my 98 Discovery LE last month. So far its been nothimg but problems. The car sat up for about a year. I put new brakes, new battery, new radiator hose, new spark plug wires, and new altenator and belt. Last nite driving home the SRS & Anit lock lights came on, then my radio started turning on and off by itself. I don't know if its censors or fuses. Also the spedometer started bouncing up and down and at one point stopped working. I made it home safely and turned the car off. When I tried to start it again it won't crank just a clicling noise. If anyone could give me any advice on what to do that would be great.Update: and now my brand new battery is completely dead!!!!

Have your battery tested. If it will take and hold a charge, you have a loose wire somewhere. The Speedo and SRS lights are good indicators of a low voltage situation

You either have a loose wire on the back of the alternator, or at the battery.
If that isint it then you have a bad battery or alternator.
So what other problems have you had?

If your new battery is dead the culprit is a bad alternator. Before you buy a new battery have the alternator replaced. If not it will eat whatever replacement battery you put in there.

Cheers,

Pete
