Default Another Winch Question

I have a Warn 8000i that I want to mount on the front of my 2002 Disco. I have seen a Land Rover specific winch carrier that is not a brush guard but is only a winch cradle (on a G4). I do not want a big ARB or TJM monster on the front..just a nice low profile winch mount. The primary use of this winch is to #1. To get it off my garage floor and #2. To remove trees and debris from our Gulf Coast home during hurricane season...I know an 8000i isn't strong enough for my Disco but if worse comes to worse I have a couple of ****** blocks to help me out. My question is where besides a dealer can I get my hands on this cradle without buying the whole set up? Does anyone make one besides Warn? I called Warn and they said I would have to go to the dealer for it..Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not wanting to put a bumper or the dealer setup you could
get a trailer hitch winch mount.

That way you will not have to put heavy springs on the frt end for all the extra weight.

Try calling Atlantic British, I think they may be able to help you, 1-800-533-2210
What ever you do stay away from the receivor type portable winch mount, they are not safe or strong enough for some sorts of winching.

I wouldn't consider an electric recovery winch suitable for winching trees anyway, they're slow, they overheat, and they drain your battery like nothing else. If you're really interested in winching for that use sell the M8000 and look into something hydraulic. Being able to winch for 2 out of 15 minutes is your main limitiation, go much past that and you've got a dead winch or a dead battery.
