Default Any difference in fuel economy in sport/performance mode?

Wondering if anyone has tracked their fuel economy in the sport or performance transmission mode (green dash light on) versus the standard mode.

I generally leave mine in the sport/performance mode, because it feels less like a 3 ton behemoth in that mode,.....also feels like it utilizes the various gear ranges a bit more efficiently in that mode.

thoughts?

I studied the difference for a couple thousand miles and found out that the fuel mileage is only affected by my right foot.

This pretty much sums it up. Though for heavy stop and go driving your mileage may suffer a little more when in sport mode due to the increased time at higher RPMs BUT...it'll most likely be so small you wont notice it much if at all.

Sport - higher shift points - less economy.
Don't use sport.
Never over 55MPH and you will get
15.5 MPG mixed city, highway with Premium gas.

I find sport mode is all down to how heavy your right foot is and how much you use the kick down. Admittedly, sport mode, when used, holds onto the gears longer and changes up at higher revs so consequently uses slightly more fuel. If however, you use sport mode for it's intended use, like overtaking occasionally, the additional mpg and cost is probably negligible. I would guess that continuous use of the sport mode coupled with a heavy right boot will inevitably consume more fuel and cost more. Me, I'm rarely in a rush these days so I doubt I use sport mode more than once or twice per week when I arrive behind a 'sans permis' car or another very slow vehicle. Owning a diesel truck teaches you patience if nothing else .

I personally have found no difference in performance or fuel. It still a dog either mode.

The whole point is you don't buy a 4x4 if you want sportscar performance you buy a Ferrari. All off road 4x4's are as aerodynamic as a 'house brick' and not intended for cruising at 100mph+ on autoroutes even the new Range Rover's, better known as 'Chelsea Tractors' or 'Shopping Trolleys'. Eeeerr, scrub that remark.................. I drive one as well .
