I had that issue, and it was the wiring. It was fried. Had to rewire. Mine was buried in and around the intake Manifold, so we spliced it and routed it out of the way of the exhaust manifolds.

I just found out that the thick black wire got pinched between the mounts when I did my HG. I just spliced it and reconnected it. Was that 2 wires inside that thick black wire? I just saw that minutes ago, that there were 2 wires going to the Knock Sensor from the black wire but it came out from a wire insulation covering. I was wondering also since I replaced the sensor with a new one and nothing happened. I have to cut it again then, since the wire went behind the A/C mount. Can you confirm that 2 wires came from the Manifold? If you can remember. Thanks again

I just swapped out power steering pump and must have "pinched" the drivers side knock sensor wiring. I've been getting P0327 soft codes ever since. Alarm pops up on Ultra Gauge as pending code.

I haven't had much free time to mess with it. Maybe, tomorrow 😜

I got a new sensor early this morning and the code came up again, so thinking something triggering that code to show up. Got no codes anymore except this pending code. I need to pass inspection. No engine check anyway.

It comes out behind the a/c compressor then we routed it out and around, then under the exhaust manifold. It's two wires that are the same color if memory serves. I would nit assume that mine are in the original location. I am in my second engine. I don't know where they originate.

That's a strange wire. At the sensor it is 2 different color wires, but 6" up there is a wierd splice that turns both wires into one larger black wire. I'm no electrical guru so not sure how it functions.

mine looked terrible, and seemed to have been repaired multiple times. Mybguess is that these are routed terribly and get damaged frequently. Mine's working for now.
