I need to take the roof rack off to repaint and just know this time the second I take the clamps off, the plastic is going to fall apart.

This topic comes up often but wanted to get a 2025 pulse on any potential solutions.

 

I’m sure you’ve seen a couple threads on this. I may have even copied the URL somewhere for a good one, but I thought it was something as simple as like a door seal type stuff that someone used that really looked good.

Let me hunt around a bit and see what I can find…

EDIT: This is the one I found and commented on. My plan was either this stuff or something similar when I get around to doing it on the HSE as mine is totally wasted on the HSE.
