Default Any suggestions on how I splice this wire back together? Picture included ( bad one).

Getting everything back together after the head gasket job and I just spotted this wire that either got pinched or I cut. It looks like it is a wire in a wire and it goes to a sensor that is on the under side of the block, crankshaft? Knock? Please help!!

I would solder it and head shrink it.

Are you saying that you think it's a coax wire?

I was not sure if that was the right term but yes it is a coax wire.

I don't think it can be a coaxial cable. Coax cables are usually used to transmit radio frequencies. I have never ran into that type of wire in my Land Rover. Hopefully someone else can comment.

I don't mean that it looks like one that you plug into your tv, but it is similar.

And you wouldn't know unless you cut it.

I'll be the first to admit that land rover is a little foreign to me, but I have never come across a coax wire on any other vehicle before. I would guess that it is most likely a regular wire which I would just solder and heat-shrink.

BTW- Not all heat-shrink is created equal...You can buy heat-shrink that has a glue which become activated when heated which makes for an awesome repair IMO.

I've not seen a wire in a wire yet in a rover. Figure out what it is and consult the wiring diagrams in the Rave.
