Default Anyone with an EAS programming tool or Hawkeye near Baton Rouge Louisiana?

Hey folks,

My old 2001 Disco 2 was switched from Air Coils to Springs and needs the SLABS reconfigured. My local LandRover dealerships won't touch one this old, and I don't know anyone in the area with a programmer device.

Rather than drop $400 on a Hawkeye and cable, I was hoping someone near me might have one I could drive out to, to borrow for just a sec. Besides my undying gratitude for getting rid of my annoying dash lights, there would be beer in it for ya

Thanks!
-Mike

Or get a SLABS unit that isn’t programmed for SLS from Paul, Abran, or Will. Or grab one off of Ebay or a local pick n pull junk yard, then it would just be 100% Plug n Play. Shouldn’t be anymore than 30.00.

Hard to know if it's programmed how you want without buying it and installing it.
Speaking from experience.

Off of Ebay yes, pick n pull that’s a easy way to verify via dash switch or air bags, and Paul, Abran, and Will know what it came off of.

I bought an 04 SLABS off of Ebay once and it gave full vehicle specs on the vehicle it was picked from.

Damn. Reading these posts about swapping in a different SLABS programmed for coils reminded me I've had a spare one sitting in the garage for a couple years since I replaced mine with one from an '04 that's set up to work with my CDL. I looked for the old one when I got home from work tonight but I didn't see it. I may have sent it off for electronics recycling. If I find it before you do something else you're welcome to it for the cost of shipping only (although I hate to undercut abran or Paul).

I’ve got a non SLS programmed one also, but I haven’t been able to find a lot of stuff after Harvey when my shop got turned upside down when I had barely any time to save stuff I had in totes/cabinets & move em to higher ground.

I’ll look again when I get a chance

Neat idea guys, thanks... I think there's still an old 03' Disco at my upull-it lot with springs I can prolly pull one out of. Assuming any SLABS module from 99-04 will work ok in my 2001 SE7? I wasn't aware they were interchangeable. I thought they were married to the VIN or something...

Nope they're completely compatible 99-04. Just 03-04 had the latest firmware & of coarse CDL support.

All of my D2's have 03-04 SLABS Units as I went ahead and installed 04 CDL levers into them.
