Default Anyone got Slickshift?

Looking to see if anyone has installed slick shift onto their D2's and if so, was it worth it? did it make that much of a difference? what does it actually do? info on it seems sparse.
I just bought a D2 and noticed on the test drive the BIAS plate will need replaced as its stuck over to the left and need to push right to get into 3rd or 4th. Was thinking of shortening the gear stick while i'm at it. doesnt seem to be a common mod either but the bit "truck driver" style stick is a nuisance.
I seen slickshift on one of the sites:
https://www.onlinegearboxparts.com/p...shift-inc-td5/
but there doesnt seem to be much info about it.

I can get the parts I need for £15 delivered (im UK) or slickshift for £100 delivered. worth it?

I installed that to my 2003 TD5 manual.
Can't say much yet, just ~100km driven with it, but feels nice and tight.

Was it worth the money? I'll be replacing the base plate and springs anyway so would only add a bit more time in terms of labour, just not sure what its for.
Does it make the gear changes smoother? faster?
I'm thinking of shortening the gear stick on mine. it feels like a lorry at the moment.

The cost for the slickshift kit is so tiny compared to the whole costs of these things and keeping them running, I can't see any reason not to install it if You have issues with broken stock parts etc.
I had no issues with the stock shifter but as I had the gearbox and transfercase overhauled it was a no brainer for me..

Shifts are nice and smooth and they almost suck the correct wanted gear in..
