This plastic hose broke in half and sprayed fluid out of it causing my engine to steam. I followed it back to find where the other half broke to replace it and I traced it to under the wheel well to the middle of the front axle. I’m not sure what the piece is so if anyone has information that would be awesome! Thanks

 

that's the overflow tube from the coolant reservoir. it's supposed to be like that.

 

@Taylorwhit0912 You have a cooling system problem. That hose only sprays fluid when your cooling system is over pressure, to fix it you need to do the following :

1. Have your cooling system pressure tested - this will confirm the system is holding pressure if it is not you need to find the leak with luck a hose
2. If Number 1 passes flush your cooling system - no additives required just water will do
3. Replace your reservoir cap

No matter what has happened you need to determine why your system went over pressure, the most common cause is overheating

 

Could be a bad cap, overfilled, but if not you might be overheating or excessive air or pressure is in the system.

 

It snapped in half and sprayed coolant. I’m looking where I can find that piece to replace it if you have an idea on that. Thanks!

 

If it’s the hard line to the TBH or the radiator just replace it with 5/16 coolant hose. The one that usually snaps = small line on the bottom of the coolant reservoir. The one that is on the neck & angles off to the side reservoir vent line & it goes no where.

ITS NOT SNAPPED IN HALF, ITS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT.

It's a drain for the coolant bottle.

THE PROBLEM IS YOURE OVERHEATING, TOO HIGH PRESSURE, CAUSES THE CAP TO VENT COOLANT OUT THAT HOSE ONTO THE GROUND.

Yes, it sounds like the OP is trying to connect the overflow tube to one of his axle/transfer case vent tubes.

That tube is the overflow, it's suppose to be cut off and open to the environment. If fluid is coming out of system...do as Richard has mentioned.
