anyone heard of this chip.
Just so everyone knows, these have been around for a Long Time. This Performance "Chip" is actually just a resistor. It's a $0.20 resistor from Radio Shack with wires hooked up. They sell from $9.99 - $150.00, depending on how corrupt the seller is. And, the kicker, they are the exact same resistor for EVERY vehicle.
And, ever since people started saying it was just a resistor you could buy everywhere, the more corrupt sellers then changed it and started to use an IC Chip. When in actuality, they only used the Resistor Circuit inside the IC. It only LOOKS different, but it's actually the SAME EXACT thing. Although, it probably costs them $0.25 now.
If bought in bulk (100+), these resistors can be as cheap as $0.02 ea.
If you really want to try this, go and buy a resistor yourself and wire it in following this video tutorial (Show image below to Radio Shack guy to get right resistance). (Remember, this is a SCAM)
For what it's worth, I tried this when I was in my teens. Yes, they were around way back then, I'm now 47 yrs old. I not only lost MPG, but I never saw a gain in performance. Pulled it out shortly after install.
Also, if you look at the disclaimers at the bottom of the website:

Original Resistor Type. Still used in MANY of these "Performance Chips":

NEW IC Chip Style. Now costs upwards of $150.00!!! (Tom from CO, I've got some Magic Beans for you):

Resistor Chart - In case you want to try to "TUNE" your chip! Hehehe:

Here is more info on the mod and where/how to install it:
+20HP POWER SPEED CHIP
Your Mileage May Vary, and your HP, and your Torque, etc...
I swear... the chip improved my mpg, solved my cooling issue, CDL appeared as an option, truck raised itself by a couple of inches, the driveline whine went away, the rear subwoofer sounded better, the 3 Amigos went back to Mexico, the SRS light went poofed..... and my love life improved (aka the Disco became a chick magnet from some reason)
Are you sure? Did you try turning it off and then back on again? I'm sure that was your problem
