Has anyone replaced front ABS sensor with Long Cable type?

I have been getting
064:Front Right sensor electric fail

after damaging the Right sensor cable. Nothing seem to work. I replaced with a new "short stock" type, Repair the old one. Now my next venture would be to replace the whole cable with a long type.

I have spoken with Storey at RSW he thinks there may be grounding issue. I don't understand where is this grounding coming from? There are only 2 wires in the shielded cable.

Other question I have is, how would I connect to the SLABS ECU? I am not finding it clear in RAVE.
