Alchohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, jk . I'm getting ready to service my transmission and was wondering if it's really going to take all 12 qts. The stuff is expensive so I don't want to spend more than I have to. And also, is it a good idea to buy one of the filter kits from AB while I'm at it? Thanks!

If you are doing the filter too it will be about 6qts.
Drain and fill more like 4.
12 is from bone dry.

As Spike says, the torque converter does not drain when you do this.
