I recently sold a Defender 110 Td5 and purchased a Disco 2 HSE7.
I kept the 16in wheels but they don't fit on the Disco due to bold pattern (newly mistake).
The Disco came with 18s which are very nice but I wanted to fit MT tires.
Here is the question:
-buy 16in wheels and install 245/75-16 BFG MTs (the new model)
keep the 18s for winter tires
-buy 265/60-18 BFG ATs to mount on the very nice 18in wheels that came with the truck and get another set of 18s for winter tires.
The questions:
-How much worst on the road are 16s?
-How much worst off road are 18s?
-Anybody has experience with either the AT or MT and noise on a Disco? I found the MT to be a bit noisier on the Defender, but wind noise was way worst so MT tire noise was not an issue.
