So my plan for the weekend is to swap out the front end of a CDL case from an 04 into my non CDL 01.

However, I'm missing some bolts I need help replacing.

It looks to me that I have a few different sizes missing.

1) With the swap, how many of these missing bolts will my 01 case that's in the truck replace if I reuse them?

2) Which ones will I need to replace?

3) Kind of anxious about this install. Any tips if you've done the nose cone swap?

4) I've pretty much seen every thread on the internet regarding the swap. Still nervous.

did you see the posts and threads saying that this isn't necessarily a great idea, because getting everything aligned inside the case is really, really tricky and you're likely to end up with a case that has a lifespan of only about 10k miles?

 

I honestly saw a small percentage mention this but it was not a majority of the overall experiences mentioned. Not enough to sway me either way at least.

I mostly saw a bunch of questions, very little solid answers and a reference to the pdf commonly used.

I know ashcroft and others sell the front housing kit. Haven't heard any bad stuff about their swap and its the exact same that I'm doing.

I'll be doing the greg davis linkage as well.
