Wink Aux/Condensor fan chirping....

Hey everyone any advice on chirping/squeeking Aux fan. I know replace it, but after 350 for a radiator and thermostat, and another 300 for water pump and fan clutch, the funds are getting a little low.

Anybody find a reasonable alternative for the fan, or have any idea what might be causing the chirping, let me know. THX again.

Other then a used Rover D2 fan, not aftermarket, you really don't have any options.
Make sure to keep checking it, you don't want to have it fail and then overheat your engine.

The fan motor from a late '90's Corolla is a direct fit.
~$25 at a junk yard.
The electric fan on your truck is for the a/c and aux engine cooling only, so if it fails nothing is going to happen except your a/c wont work when sitting in traffic.

Spike,
I have heard that that fan along with others may be a direct fit but I believe it will not move as much air as necessary to replace the factory fan.
As for the aux. cooling, in many areas, it is still warm enough that a D2 can over heat on in town, stop and go driving so it could be an issue.

It is the same motor Mike, you dont use the Toyota fan, only the motor.
So fan blade CFM has nothing to do with, sorry if I did not make that clear.
