Default Aux light wiring

I need someone who understands Rover electronics to help me out. I have Land Rover lamps on the bumper that I cannot figure out how to turn on. They haven't worked since I got the truck. I was investigating the wiring today and wanted to see if I am on the right track.

The lights:

I think I traced the wiring from the lamps to a box at the back of the fuse box (circled):

The wires go up into the box (circled):

Here is the back of the box. The left side of the box appears to be wired to the positive terminal and the right side seems to go to ground.

Am I on the right track here? Is this how lights are wired normally?

If so, it seems like there should be a couple fuses in that box. It looks like 2 fuse slots are grounded (one for each lamp?).

Yep, you should have fuses, and a regular head lamp is 10 amp, these could be more. If it is just the fuse, you should measure voltage across the open fuse slot with everything turned on.

Thanks Savannah. There was one 15 amp fuse in that box (it seems to be blown). I used one of the spare 15 amp fuses and plugged it into the box to see if just 1 light would come one, but neither did. I can hear a relay clicking under the steering column when I hit the switch, so I guess my next step would be to measure the voltage across that fuse box to see if there is actually any power there. I'll let you know what I find.

Both of these should have fuses in them. I'm guessing ONE is for the Relay, and ONE is for the Lighting Power.

I put 2 new fuses in there and now the lights work. It also took some fiddling with the buttons to figure out how to turn them on. Thanks guys!

Yeah I love the color. It's unique and easy to find in parking lots!
