This sounds great for anyone interested. Can you post some pics of the parts or box or whatever you have? If I remember correctly, the D1 binnacle switches are more of a "gray" than the D2 "black" switches. I'd love to keep everything looking stock.

The s13 plug can hold a standard crimp on blade connector. You can run the wire through the firewall grommet on the passenger side. You can use it as power, but I’m using it for a signal to turn on my relay box. If you’re gonna run a bunch of lights and other accessories, these are pretty tidy.

can stick it anywhere and only need to run one set of wires to the dash to the control panel. All other wires can terminate under the hood or wherever you mount the relay box.

ooooooooo - that S13 plug looks super interesting....

If you don't already have one...get a "wire insertion tool" to make it easier to feed wires through the firewall grommet because doing it with a screwdriver or a standard wire fish is a pita.

OK, I bought that Amazon Nilight kit and it's actually a decent quality. Of course, it doesn't work with the Disco switch. I've wiring pin 4 to chassis ground, pin 1 to relay ground, pin 2 to positive (which makes the Disco switch light up) and Pin 5 to switched leg.

What I'm realizing is that the Disco 2 latching cruise control switch completes a ground between pin 1 and 3/4. The Nilight switch/relay is wired for 12v+ switch.

Without being a wiring/electrical guru - can I just switch wiring at the relay and make this setup work? Or do I need a different relay?

I'm not sure, but please post the results of what you do! I'm interesting in doing something similar.

I don't think you need a different relay, here is a post and diagram that should help.
