Default Backseat Window Will Not Go Up

I have a 2001 Disco II. My rear passenger seat window went down, but will not go up. I do not hear the motor when I press the button. I suspect that I just need to replace the motor. Let me know if you had similar experience and if my assumption is correct. Thank you

Did you try using both the center console switch and the rear switch? Sometimes the switch can go or get gummed up but I believe typically it's the motor (pretty cheap on eBay).

I had a similar case once, window went down & didn’t want to come up, in my case it was not the motor,
it was the center console switch that was bad, so b4 trying to replace motor, swap the switch with the other window that works to see if it’s only the switch that is bad.

Plastic wheels on the regulator will also break off, and then bind the regulator, preventing it from moving up or down.

On my LR3 you have to hold up/down switch for 2-3 min to get switch to reset, then it will work. Can we do these on the older Disco’s (now that I’m also driving my new-to-me ‘00 Disco 2)

I tried both the front window button and the button on the door. Neither works.

If the center console button is bad, door button won’t work.

try this. It's the same button as the other rear window at the center console.
