Default Bad Tie Rod End - Vibration?

Okay, on to the next thing with this new to me Disco. I've got a noticeable vibration from 25-30mph, accel and decel. Also a general vibration at speed (just enough to make the rearview mirror spasm) Took a look underneath. Tried to rotate the driveshafts and got no play. Took a look up front and the passenger side tie rod end is definitely shot. Would that cause the vibration? Looks like it's also gonna be easier (and cheaper in the long run) to replace the entire drag link assembly, as they come with new tie rod ends... or ball joints as the RAVE refers to them.)

Start with the easy things first. Tires out of balance will cause it. Generally bad tie rod will cause drift left and right in the steering. Don't think it could cause a vibration but not 100% sure. Now the bad part would be the front drive shaft. D*

I agree with Daryl. Either a tire out of balance or a ripped cord in one of them will cause vibration like that. Ripped cords can be hard to see. If I suspect a tire has one, I put it on the lift, or jack it up. Then take anything straight, a pry bar, pipe, broom handle, whatever, hold it so it's flat across the tread of the tire. While holding that just above the tread, spin the tire. If you have a ripped cord, it will hit when it comes around.
Sometimes you can see them right away. Depends on how bad it is.

Bad tie rod ends will definitely cause vibration. Happened to mine twice, once with the front tie rod and again with the rear. On the front at least, only one end is replaceable anyway and the other end is welded. Maybe that's true for both, can't remember. If they're obviously bad, replace it. New ones aren't that expensive from Lucky 8 and you can do the alignment yourself with a tape measure. 1/8" or 1/4" toe out in the front if I recall.

There are many items that cause vibrations:

Unfortunately the list is endless and it's a slow process of elimination.
