I am repainting my Chawton white Discovery and ordering new badges. I believe the LAND ROVER hood and the rear gate DISCOVERY/V8 badges are or were gray but I checked out Rovers North and there is a gunsmoke silver option for the V8 badge.

This sounds like a silly question but the color of my badges is so distorted from baking in the sun for 23 years I really can’t tell what the original color was. Should I be on the hunt for all gunsmoke silver or all gray badging?

My 2000 D2 is also Chawton White. My badging is pretty dark, so I guess it would be considered gray by Land Rover? I'd go out and check, but she's currently in the shop...
