Just got a 2000 disco II last week. This forum is great. Even before registering I searched and was able to find out why the cruise didn't work. $1.50 vacuum tube later and it works!

One new question. The hood had been repainted. It is the color like burgundy (I know they call it a color red but can't recall the actual name for it.) The Land Rover decal is missing from the hood. What color is stock for that considering the color of my disco II? And where can I get one?

 

All the burgundy Discos I've seen have gray or silver decals. Look at the badging on the rear of the truck. The ones on the front should be the same color. Atlantic British (www.roverparts.com) sells the LR decal you're looking for.

Congrats on the new truck. Did you post pics so we can all admire it?

Got an actual dealer part for this. Some people are selling vinyl decals from a home machine for this. The dealer part is actually raised letters that look like they belong. Got silver to match the back.
