Or you could just balance your propshaft after rebuilding it like all driveline shops do.
I'm not sure what the aversion is to getting them balanced. Do people have the same aversion to getting tires balanced?

If you use u-joints with the zerk in the valley of the cross and orient them so they are 180 degrees apart on the DC you aren't getting maximum strength. This is explained in the propshaft sticky.
