Can a pickle fork get out a ball joint?

I used one of these a long time ago.
Before Katy Perry.

On a pitman arm.

No room to get under the seat...and good luck not breaking it.
I tried after I unseated one (thought it'd be faster) .... Had to buy a new one. That one is a pretzel fork.

I'm referring to the knuckles near the cvs, not the steering arm ones.

Me too, but a modified fork will get between the seat of the joint and the knuckle, once you break it loose. Problems are -you still have to use bjoint tool to break loose the joint(that's the hard part)-you have to mod the fork ( they are not wide enough) -the lateral pressure is more trouble (my 240, bent the fork)
So might as well use a spork.

I was noting to Jfall, as I think he thought we were talking about steering rods.
