Default Battery?

A 2002 disco
Didn't start it for two weeks
When I started it I ran it for about 20 seconds and then turned if to check the fluids
Fluids were ok went back to turn it on and nothing absolutely nothing not even light on dashboard
Battery was dead
Hooked it up to a charger for about 5 min and it fired right up
The battery is about 2 months old
Now it fires just fine
Hmm any thoughts??!

Crap it happened again
My ultra gauge says it's charging at 13.7 volt
Not even at 2500 rpm it won't charge over 14 volts

Check your battery connections. Sounds more like a cable issue than a dead battery.

Unlikely a 2 month old unit will go from completely dead to clean start with only a 5 min charge. Probably just improved a weak connection when you connected the charger.

Yes yes
Just cleaned the connectors fires right up
But still charges only at 13.8 13.9 volts
What's up with that
And thinking about it now that's what it always did
I thought it should be over 14v or am I mistaken
Thanks a lot

This is normal. The regulator on the alternator will vary the output depending on demand.

Mine varies between 13.7 and 14.3.
