Default Battery Drain

Evening ,

Slight problem, if I don’t drive my 2004 TD5 after 3 weeks it will fail to start as battery has drained totally.

Now got a few queries.

I was told it could be the radio draining the battery can this be a possibility ? Once the car is turned off the radio does not turn in so I do t think that could be the issue & would it draw enough power to drain b battery after 3 weeks ?

Also when I bought the Disco in 2021 it came fitted with a Rimmer Bro box as per attached. This gives it better HP & supposed to help with the performance.

You can see the red cable is wired to the live , would this always be live & could this cause the premature battery drain that I’m getting ?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

TIA

Typically it is the ABS system draining the battery, you can either pull the fuse semicolon wire and some relays to power it down; or connect it to a trickle charger or solar charger.

Thanks for the reply. Just to confirm when you mean disconnect, just remove from the white plug & remove red wire from the live feed ?
