Default Battery ground cable,...is factory or universal a better choice

I'm wanting to improve my battery ground cable and wondering if a larger gauge generic might be a better choice and less expensive than the Land Rover branded cable. Additionally, if the recommendation is to just go with a generic,....how necessary is the secondary ground point in mid cable a few inches away from the negative battery post?? If it's important (thinking it wouldn't be there if there was no justification for it),...what is the best way to accomplish that if using aftermarket cabling?

I just ran generic cable, larger is fine/good depending on your needs. Run one to the midpoint and another from the midpoint the rest of the way, no need for janky connections. With em being a mix of aluminum and steel I would keep all factory ground points.

Here's a positive post from Atlantic British. I'm sure they have ground too.

Here is my Big 6 Cable upgrade next up for Myrtle:
ANCOR Marine grade cable tinned copper strands Type 3 or TEMCo welding cable
1. 0AWG from battery + to alternator + (through modded fuse box connected to 150A fuse link)
2. 0AWG from battery + to starter +
3. 0AWG from battery - to grounding midpoint
4. 0AWG from grounding midpoint to alternator mount
5. 0AWG from chassis to engine
*6. 10AWG from firewall to coil pack (replace braided ground)

I used a generic battery cable, and used a copper split bolt connector to splice a short piece of cable in at the midpoint. You're looking for something that looks like this:
