Just bought my 96 disco and it had a Interstate MegaTron II battery in it. The battery looks brand new. Went to start the other day and it just clicked. Took it to Autozone to get tested and charged and they said it would not hold a full charge and will probably die on me again and I should not rely on it. Is there a way to warranty this battery out since I did not buy it? I hope so. If not, WHat is a good battery to getand where, that is not too expensive.

I would get an Optima, but the $160 and up price is not hitting me in the right spot.

 

Just because a battery looks new doesnt mean that it is.
The warrenty on anything is non transferable. If the second owner could get things replaced under warrenty then n obody would ever need to buy new.
Just get a battery from Auto Zone. Along with your A/C recharge kit. Sign up for a AutoZOne rewards card and save yourself some money.
