BEARMACH HAWKEYE...wow

They are only $430 shipped on ebay.
And there's a used one for $400 shipped, but it's set for P38, not D2. But if you own both a P38 and a D2, that could be a great deal.

Hawkeye Diagnostic Tool for Land Rovers - D.A.P.
We use ours on a regular basis to check and monitor performance. We originally purchased ours for the ABS functions and testing (including brake bleeding) and reading live data for the engine sensors (this a great feature but not while you are driving of course).

It's a little cheaper to get unlock code from England, especially depending in how the dollar is doing compared to the pound.

I think when I bought mine it worked out to less than $200. Right now it's closer to $250.

Bearmach Hawkeye----After I offered strong request for security programming to Bearmach, they surprised me by saying that they will include what I suggested in the next software upgrade, version 6. I asked them to include programming to Discovery II, of used key fobs (such as ones bought off ebay, for used fobs.
One thing the Hawkeye is invaluable for too, is that whenever one works on the Discovery ABS modulator, or opens up any of the brake lines, one MUST bleed the system properly. Looking at the Wabco website, for these ABS modulators, one will see that the system must be first be bled manually, in the normal fashion, followed by an electronic bleed of the modulator itself (done easily with the Hawkeye---see Hawkeye menu), which forces trapped air in the modulator out into the lines, finally, for step three, to again bleed manually, to rid the lines of the air moved to the lines from the modulator. This is the only way to properly bleed the ABS system fully, and to get back original brake performance. Falconworks of Arizona (see their website) speaks exactly of this bleeding process too, for confirmation.
