best off road
My son is torn between a late 90's Range Rover and Discovery. He is looking to maximizing storage and off road capability including any add-ons with cost
What is the collective wisdom??

Discovery all the way. There are thousands of add-ons for them. But under neath they are the same trk. Same engine, transmission, transfer case and axles.
If he gets a late '80's early '90's Range Rover then the number of add-ons are about the same as the Disco.

I have a number of friends with 90 thru 95 Rovers and they are awsome trucks. With only a good set of tires they will go just about anywhere and with a few mods, there is no stopping them. Have him call me if he has any specific questions.

Some of the early Range Rovers did not have locking transfer
cases and the brake boosters are electric not vacuum as the
Disco's.
Disco'sare heaver than RR's.
Either would be good off road.
