atlantic british has all of the cooling system parts. when you get it reattached DO NOT FORGET TO BLEED THE AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM! just search for bleeding cooling system on the forum and you will find plenty of instructions. I spend 3 very frustrating months trouble shooting my rovers cooling system until i found out you hafta bleed the system while on a slope... learn from my mistake.

good luck!

Is there any white smoke coming out of the exhaust? You might have a bad head gasket, it could be leaking coolant into the cylinder. The compression could also over pressurize the cooling system and pop the hose off.

no white smoke from the exhaust and yes the clamps are going to be replaced but am not sure if its the thermostat is the problem because i put water in the truck let it cool down and drove it home. the temp. was normal and did not go up. am going to the mechanic now to see what it is.

Well i just came back from the mechanic and this is what he told me.

He said all the radiator hoses need to be changed, intake gasket, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, and drive belt.

now i dont know how much of all of this is true i am going to change the all the radiator hoses and thermostat plus the tune up what do you guys think. i see that the valve covers are leaking oil and the put it on the lift and the bottom is covered with oil i dont know what to do at this point. please help
