I take it to cycle the ABS pump you would have to have the Ignition on???
Does the car have to be running??
that is a good question.. also, one more thing on the sequence...rave manual states 'braking efficiency may be seriusly impaired if the incorrect bleed sequence is used'

So which is correct? all of us or the rave manual?

Again the Rave is wrong.
As just mentioned, always start from the furthest point, hence, r/r, l/r,r/f and l/f.
Always use DOT 4, apx 3 pints is needed.

Is the Rave CD a copy of the factory service manual? Does this mean that the dealership techs are incorrectly bleeding brake lines by following the service manual? I have serviced my brakes according to the Rave CD and have not had any issues (yet).

I doubt it..

You would know if you were having brake issues

Bled the brakes on the Left Hand Drive yesterday... started with the RR, LR, RF, LF (i.e. farthest away working closer).... braking worked fine.

Definitely interested in hearing if the car needs to be running to cycle the ABS, or of just depressing the pedal for 30 seconds with it off takes care of it.

Boy, that fluid was filthy....

Took me about 20 minutes and exactly 1 quart of fluid.
