Yeah it will probably go something like that. And we will work out a deal. I get a car part for our vehicle and she gets a purse or something. Life's so unfair.

I have the standard Lockheed pads and rotors and they work great, dont know why you guys all think you need to break the bank to keep your trucks going.

I've been dealing with crappy brakes and shocks for so long that I just want to have something nice for the second half of my truck's life.

Bad shocks will affect your stopping power.
Its your money you can do what you want, and I wont knock you for it, I just dont understand this constant obssesion with everybody wanting to go broke keeping their truck on the road.
These things are only high maintence if let them be.
In 2 years and 30,000 miles I have spent less than $1000 in repairs on my truck and she is next to flawless.

I know that is why I have OME shocks coming this Friday. From Lucky 8 they were actually fairly affordable. I think I am going to play it by ear with the brakes and mull it over for a week or so.

As long as you do a thorough brake job you should be fine..
I tried to do it half assed by putting new pads on rotors that needed to be turned (too bad you cant turn disco rotors) and replaced only one front caliper when I should have done them both..

I ended up having to go back and do it again

Do the job well, with whatever parts are required, and it should turn out fine.

Yeah my rear rotors are not that terrible but the front ones are getting bad. So I'm just going to do it correctly and replace them all.
