Your HG break looks just like the one I posted above. The previous owner of my parts truck drove it and drove it with the leak, so much so that the valley was slated with caked oil that was blown out. I had the heads planed but yours look pretty good. I'd slap them back on with no planing.

Good for you for tackling the job. A lot of people are deterred by the level of work but you will learn more than you ever thought possible and become a master real soon by doing your service on your own. Keep it up

I just dropped the heads off to get done. I need to bring them the seals when i get the gasket kit.

Parts just arrived.

Head gasket kit.


Water pump, head bolts, timing chain kit, and 180 t-stat. Just waiting on my oil pump gear.

That box is the chain for the timing but soon after i posted i found another yellow box with the gear in it.

Day 2. Didn't get much done.

Front cover off.


Oil pump gear looks good but replacing it since i have a new one.


Timing chain.
