Default Body Graphics Thoughts

I know the Discos came with some body side decals from the factory, but none of those really appealed to me. Today I came across this 2004 Vienna Green Disco with a side decal that I actually like. Am I guessing a custom job? Anyone know how easy this would be to replicate? My thoughts would be the decal in a matte black to match the hood decals on the market with the word "DISCOVERY" and the hash marks cut out to allow the vehicle's paint, Alveston Red in my case, to show through. Not sure if this is even possible, but this is what looks like they did on this truck.

I have a local company that removed the AMG logo in some body-side stripes and replaced it with 280 CE on a Mercedes project of mine that I will stop in and see if this is something they are capable of making. Or if anyone knows this truck and who made this decal, I'd just contact them as they already have the print file.

Well I’d love to see it as I have an Alveston as well. I think it would look cool.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think that is custom as I’ve seen it before, but I don’t know the details. The one in the picture looks really sharp with the wheels as well.

I have seen that discovery graphic, even posted here before. I believe someone had asked the same question…

Any graphic designer with access to the physical truck to confirm measurements should be able to replicate this very easily. These days even a vehicle print shop shouldn’t have a problem with an in-house design dept.

if you get hung up without ability to do it locally. I can make that graphic for you & send you a print file for a vinyl shop.

good luck.

I googled every imaginable phrase looking for another truck with this graphic with no luck. The entire graphic looks the same height, which I measured at 7 1/2 inches. I am sure someone that does this sort of thing for a business could replicate the other spacings. Thankfully this picture is a dead-on side view.

And mine would have to be a bit longer than this as I have removed my fender flares.

My search only showed this graphic in what looks like a light color.

Stopped at my local sign shop who has done work for me before and they quoted me $300.00 to design and install this decal. I guess a decent price for something that is a one off for them. And they confirmed the DISCOVERY and hash marks will allow the truck body color to show through.
