I'm mulling on a little curiosity, parts of the Discovery are aluminum and was wondering if anyone has ever tried to strip & polish any body parts in there painting scheme.
I didn't find anything on it here or searching photos online.
I think I will take a banged up fender & do a test just for yucks.
I want to do a color change on a Disco 2 & want to do something a little different, mixing it up a bit using a combination of paint in some areas, some polished aluminum areas and some bed liner finishes.
I'm going to have to print out a line drawing of the discovery & get some color pencils before I actually do anything though.

 

If I ever paint a D2 of mine I'd honestly consider that gun metal grey paint Toyota TRD trucks came in or that desert tan TRD color. I think it would look really really sharp on a LR.
