Default Bolt keeps stripping in Front Driveshaft replacement

I've been through two bolt/nuts now from the Lucky8 kit when replacing my front driveshaft and they have both stripped. The bolt and nut spin freely and will not clamp down. https://www.lucky8llc.com/collection...t-driveshaft-6
I got the first one off and ordered a set of nut and bolts from Lucky8. Went to go put them in annnnnnnnnd it's stripped again.

Am I doing something stupid here? Please tell me why I'm stupid!

I'd just go down to your local hardware store and some new Grade 8 bolts the same length/width along with a locknuts and call it a day.

I might have to. I just can't fathom why two nut/bolts have stripped the same way. The other three worked fine.

Yeah that's odd, but the stock thread pitch is fine vs coarse. I've used bolts/locknuts from the hardware store before with no issues at all.

3/8 x 24 x 1" should work, but measure the length of the bolts you have to confirm. Go with a graded bolt and nyloc nut (or a graded standard nut with thread locker).
