i have the borla and it is a little annoying at highway speeds in excess of 55mph. the drone can get a little cumbersome.

Don't spend that good money for a little noise, just cut of your resinator, makes a nice mellow sound and any speed and won't cost you a penny unless you want to then run an extension out the back of the truck.

Mufflers or Resonators have nothing to do with emissions. Their sole purpose in life is to absorb sound waves, this is why off center mufflers are quieter. The only way you are going to mess with the emissions are if you eliminate the CATS or remove the O2 sensors.

Your soon to be wife will probably not notice it and if she does, just let her know you are trying to improve your MPG.

There's nothing too specail about Borla pipes (unless you are going SS). It was cheaper for me to go to a good muffler shop and get a custom exhaust and muffler. The shop made a few mods in routing, installed a larger pipe, and added nice mufflers much cheaper than I could have bought a Borla system. You can pick what ever muffler fits you taste/needs (like a longer one if you like). I also have a warrentee if something goes south.

Just my two cents,

Tim

I would have never bought the Borla exhaust but it came with my Disco. It is of nice design though, stainless steel, and mandrel bends. The guy I bought it from swapped out the borla tip for this Magnaflow tip. A big resonator is going to be put on my Disco soon.
