Bosch to Gems intake conversion
Would you like to share your ideas on where you would vest $106 on your vehicle. Maybe we could bounce ideas off on another.
am i reading that correctly?
From what has been gathered yes, however, no real numbers to justify, I believe motortrend tv on YT had done an Intake manifold shootout (long, mid and shorty) and proved the longer manifold runner to be more stout , but only with carburetors fitted. As far as fuel efficiency, ??, it’s a V8 and heavy, I have a bicycle for efficiency.
Correct, could shorten or elongate. There are a set of carbon fibre ones as well, that is just too nice for a disco though.

Thats what I’m saying.... A multi million $ Corp and couldn’t post any numbers of such, just hear-say. Must be the same folks that continued milling the intake manifolds and liner bores with the same bit.... just saying. What else did the bmw peeps redesign?
The old Buick/Rover V8 was never about HP, it was low end grunt. The 4.6L was the last attempt at improving the old design & it came with it’s ups & downs.
I agree it’s now a powerful engine, but it hauls all my D1/D2’s around with no problem & it’s fantastic off road. Zero complaints from me really.
I would love a 4.8L LS in a D2 one day, but until then I’m happy.
