Bottom of new thermostat cold
After the flushes I filled with coolant. I never ran it without fluid. I don't hear waterfalls and the temp gauge goes to normal operating temp without hot air and then I shut it off.
If your running temps are similar to before, then there is no reason not to run it for a while, take it for a few miles. Turn things on and off. Try and burp the air out. Getting a few hot/cold cycles done is only going to help.
If that doesn't work, you know you might have to look into it further.
My guess is after taking it for 5-10 miles, you'll come back and be able to get some more coolant in the bottle.
If you are relying on the dash gauge then proceed a bit carefully, as it only starts to move upwards after damage temperature has been reached. And get a proper live temp reader.
