Default Brake Booster for D2

Looking for a Brake Booster. I was told Cardone 53-2958 is the Reman Part but no where to be found.
Any suggestion or help would be appreciated.

Thanks

if you can't find it new, you could always hit up Will Tillerey, aka, the roverguy, for a used part.

There used to be one available for sale on Amazon. DO NOT buy it! it's an absolute P-O-S.
Rovers North has one for 99-02 big $$

Did an extensive search a couple weeks ago, affordable new ones no longer available.

When I screwed up installation of the master cylinder in my truck nearly 11 years ago and dumped brake fluid into the booster, I ran across town and got one from a boneyard truck. All is well still. Perhaps you can find one nearby or on eBay or from Will.

FWIW, from my ~14 years on this and other forums, I don't recall any instances of people saying the booster on their truck failed (I ruined mine). That indicates it's an okay part to buy used, even though they're all ~20 years old now.

What are the symptoms with the one on your truck that indicate it needs to be replaced.
